Lee Shore Tactics

We shall rejoice
    fairweather gives us no choice

but to find ourselves in tune
sailing in crafts upon the sea
Singing songs of Neptune
   bold before the lee shore.

Through storms and calms
we hope for a shore of palms.
To be just across the sea
   over the crests of waves
Where the natives are free
   and all sailors safe.

We'll run aground
   after tacking all around.
Cast there by our heartbeats,
   reaching for that lee shore,
Where mighty freighters beach
to give up there cargo stores.

A shore for good
we'll arrive just when we should.
But we're in no hurry
the wind will blow us there.
Timeless calm and fury
waits for us if we drift near.

LEE SHORE TACTICS (o)

We shall rejoice
fair weather leaves us that choice.
Finding ourselves in tune
   to sail away sailors,
And wait for King Neptune
to call us to the lee shore.

Through storms and calms
we search for the shore of palms.
It's just across the sea
   over the crests of waves,
Where the natives are free
   and all sailors are safe.

We'll run aground
   after tacking all around.
Cast there by our heartbeats,
   reaching for that lee shore,
Where mighty freighters beach
to give up there cargo stores.

A shore for good
we'll arrive there just when we should.
But we're in no hurry
The wind will blow us there.
Timeless calm and fury
waits for us to drift too near.

Blue Star Lady

She sits quietly next to me.
Her golden hair, deep blue eyes-
Radiance brightening my shoulder.
Oh my!  Blue Star Lady,
She can never fade on me.

She lies sunning by the sea,
Watching clouds pass in the sky.
When I return she holds me tight.
Yes my Blue Star Lady,
She shines brightly for me.

I love it when we walk the street.
She brings out the best in whomever she meets,
But she knows who she's going to keep.
Oh my! Blue Star Lady,
Shine forever inside of me.
Oh my!  Blue Star Lady,
Always be apart of me.

Chasing Butterflies

I was wondering about a feeling
   I had just last night.
We were both there, maybe you care,
   and can shed some light.

It happened when you smiled at me,
and your eyes twinkled like the sea.

I was afraid of what you might say
   last night at the dance.
As you might know, I couldn't show,
   couldn't take that chance.

A chill was running down my back,
and butterflies  swept my stomach.

Maybe now that I'm a little more
   calm, cool, collected,
it's time to figure out what I've
   still recollected.

From the stars I caught in your eyes,
since I've chased away the butterflies.

So what do you to say about it today
   (that feeling's still here)?
Is it okay to think this way,
   and show that I care?

I just wanted to let you know,
before I let my feelings show.

All My Love, Diana!

She's left a note on the kitchen table-
   "Dear Uncle and Aunt,
I know you've raised me from the cradle,
  but stay, I just can't.
I'm old enough now, and must leave.
I'm sorry, please don't be grieved.

"I told you I'm a woman in love,
   but you laughed at me.
I hope that I can prove you were wrong,
but I'm going to have to see.
You know that I love the both of you,
I'm sorry, but I love him too.

"All my love, Diana.
Going to Indiana.
Write you if I can.
Please don't spoil my plans."

She crawls out of her bedroom window,
   suitcase in her hand.
Emotional pain and sorrow
   start to spoil her plans.
She starts to cry across the lawn,
missing the first light of dawn.

Outside his fifty-seven pick-up,
   waits at the curb.
He grinds the gears as he rev's it up
   not saying a word.
Then he asks her what the tears are for,
asks her, if she's really sure.

"All my love, Diana.
We'll go to Indiana.
Write back when we can.
We're going to make some plans."

He assures her  that he loves her,
She moves up just a little closer,
and then he has his clue.
And as the miles of road pass by
she falls asleep at his side.

She dream's forward of their life ahead,
   a gingerbread home.
Sharing and making his and her bed,
   of not feeling alone.
Watching the boys that look just like him,
   being a mother tho them.

Oh! Cooking their meals.
Oh!  How will it feel?
Oh! It has such appeal!

After a few months they've settled down,
   and both have fair jobs.
It's a nice apartment that they've found
   (in itself a job!).
She doesn't mind waiting tables,
so long as she is able.

For the past two months she's missed her time,
   someone's on their way.
When she told him she thought he might mind,
   but it was okay.
He said he'd would work a little harder,
and hoped that she'd feel better.

And then her Aunt wrote,
here's a small quote
"All our love, Diana!
We'll visit Indiana!"

US History II (WASP)//

Persecuted. Left homes in search of fields.
Self righteously slaughtered the red man.
Sowed the soil with the black mans blood.
Joined a continent on the yellow mans back,
and created a brown man to harvest crops.

Our white glory stumbled upon innocence,
ripped away its defenseless maidenhead,
claimed it, raped it, and sang “We the people”
in order to form a more perfect union”
will dominate the world for national interest.

In God we trust:  so let's begin
to sin for forgiveness.
