The Last Kiss

Good -bye my love, enjoy your trip.
When you return, tell me of it.
I will think more of you while you are gone,
Holding on to you always when I'm alone.

Just one more kiss before you go.
Don't run down those steps all alone.
Let me walk down with you to the car.
Let me hold you tightly, but not too hard.

The time has come when you must leave.
Your car drives slowly down our street.
Tomorrow I'll eat my breakfast alone.
I'll go to work and then wait here at home.

I'll remember you love, but hear my plight!
I'll be afraid, as if day were night.
The only dreams I have of when we met,
But I've since lost faith in you, I regret.
